  Pipe Smokers

  any pipe smokers in here?

  i started smoking a pipe (yes, tobacco.

  it's just so nice to sit back and relax in the evening with a good pipe.

  I had a few pipes, a few even for pipe tobacco.

  And a few hookahs as well. Hookahs are like pipes and any smoking apperatus, they work well if kept clean and maintained. I think egyptian hookahs are generally considered to be the best by most middle-easterners. The apple-tobacco, the apricot-tabacoo and the strawberry-tabacco are a few of my favorites. Make sure you get good tubes, some have metal inside and tend to rust and fall apart. Also make sure it seals well, some can leak and be frustrating to smoke. Good constuction is key. Around here you can get them in middle eastern stores and head shops, a good one should run from $60-120. Of course they are great for when you have lots of friends and want to smoke anything.

  i loved the recent topic asking what each of our screen names means.

  great question as i have always wondered about quite a few of our screen names.

  as i was reading the responses, i looked at holey cheeses - king of the juice's avitar and thought about how i have been wondering for the past three years, what the hell that is a picture of.

  My avatar is an image of the third eye opening. It is a beautiful section of video at the end of a music video from the band - tool. The song is called parabola/parabol. It reminds me of my own spiritual journey and how it appeared to me. Here is a bit of the song -

  " Twirling round with this familiar parable.

  Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing.

  Are women more beautiful than men?

  all things being being equal, is the feminine gender endowed with more trancendent beauty than the masculine?

  before sending any stock replies like, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," let me just say that i acknowledge some degree of relative beauty insofar as man and woman bear their own distinctive perfections.

  but consider specifically which sex seems to bear more inherent grace to the end that it inspires our sense of harmony and desire to be more perfect ourselves.

  Mathematically women have a more centered center of gravity, which makes them more graceful and better dancers. Also they have boobies which all of us are attracted to by pure instinct. Generally they have less hair on thier bodies and seem less animal and more human.

  My name is a bit sarcastic because I think dogma should sooner be taken to Sirius, rather than be taken seriously.

  It also works with Sirius being the Dog star. It is a relatively close star system and should be the second star system we should visit. I hope my children or their children get to do this.

  And thirdly, it a loose tie to the character of Sirius Black from the Harry Potter series. His name was Sirius and he could turn into a dog. More importantly I could feel a kinship with the character of Sirius Black. Being wrongfully imprisonned in a place where demons haunt you and suck your happiness away, along with your will to live. Taking you to the edge of madness. Yeah, I could relate. Thank you WTS.

  Jesus long hair vs short hair

  in many worldly religions, pictures of jesus showed him with long hair.

  in the wt publications, jesus is showed with short hair.. where did the whole long hair thing come from?

  What about beards.

  I never understood why jesus, all the apostles, all the old testament guys ALL had beards. I think even Russell and of few of the founding idiots had beards, but witness men cannot have beards. Is everyone supposed to wait until the new system until they can grow beards?

  We know someone that had their nail clippers taken off them before getting on the

  Flying from NY to Cali my 83 year old grandmother got here nail file taken away from here.

  Here is the states in first and business they serve all silver ware, except for the butter knife, which is now plastic. Unless of course you travel outside of the states where you can still get a real butterknife most of the time. Beware of the butterknifes I say!!

  A Boring Tale of a Little Congregation and their Kingdom Halls

  this hall i speak of is in a small city in northeast tennessee called kingsport.

  i don't live there anymore, but its interesting.

  their first hall (that i am aware of), was a second floor shop in the old downtown area (which, like so many other downtown areas in little cities in america, is dying).

  Great story!

  This hall also had a seperate sound room, which was nice, as my brother got to do sound AND smoke the occasional joint without anyone bothering him. The sound system itself was a bit odd. It picked up Citizen's Band radio from time to time, and often a prayer or song was interrupted by truckers cussing about "Smokey". This hall was decoreted with carpet which looked like tang mixed with vomit, but the chairs (taken from an old movie theatre) were upholsterd in green vinyl.

  Mulan - Thanks for posting those comments, I didn't know he was catholic. The bush camp are such idiots for calling him a flip-flopper for being able to separate his personal beliefs and the personal rights of citizens.
